Pre-Owned Travis Bean TB1000A Artist (Natural)

Pre-Owned Travis Bean TB1000A Artist

A genuinely distinctive piece of American guitar history, the Travis Bean TB1000A Artist represents one of the most ambitious electric guitar designs of the 1970s. Produced in California between 1974 and 1979, only 755 TB1000A Artist models were made, making this a particularly desirable instrument for collectors and players alike. The Artist features a carved, bookmatched Koa body, aluminium neck construction, block fingerboard inlays and Travis Bean’s unmistakable open-cut headstock.

The aluminium neck extends through the body to the bridge, providing the exceptional rigidity, sustain and stability that Travis Bean guitars are renowned for. With a 24.75" scale, 22-fret fingerboard, dual humbuckers, three-way switching and independent volume and tone controls, the TB1000A combines its unconventional construction with a highly usable electric guitar format. A rare and historically significant instrument with serious rock pedigree, this pre-owned TB1000A is an exceptional addition to any high-end guitar collection.

This particular model has been modified by the original owner to have a single coil pickup in the middle position with a push/pull pot to engage it in the circuit.
